What does it mean when your 4 year old looks at you, no not looks at you but stares at you and say's, " Oh no, mom what happened? You have black eyes!" I replied by saying, "No I don't. Where?" (as I frantically run to the mirror to check it out). And I then noticed my dark circles around my eyes were a little darker than normal.
How do I catch up on my sleep? Is it even possible, or am I doomed forever?

ONE QUESTION!
I promise I will post something better soon with pictures and all but in the mean time I have one question for you all........WHO DOESN'T KEEP TOOTHPASTE IN THEIR SHOWER?! Apparently some people think I'm crazy for keeping toothpaste in my shower but come-on, how can you not see the practical side of this? Having it in my shower ensures that I brush my teeth at least twice a day. Once in the morning-IN MY SHOWER- and once in the evening at my sink where I have a second tube of toothpaste and a second toothbrush awaiting my arrival. It's genius!! Can you not see that? I know I will be getting some big thankyou's from you all soon and I'm glad I was able to share my brilliant idea with you!
'Till next time,

ARE YOU SERIOUS?!
OK, now I really am scaring myself! While taking a shower today, I got my good ole' loofah ready to do a good scrub down and I proceeded to put.......TOOTHPASTE on my stinkin' loofah! Yes, you read this right, and no, it is not a typo. I really did put TOOTHPASTE on the cute little yellow poof of goodness that is used to cleanse one's body!!!!!! Can you only imagine.......! I'm just glad I realized what I did before I took the next step. My question for you is, Where do I go from here? Obviously I've got some serious issues but I don't even know where to begin!! HELP ME!! AM I GOING CRAZY? IF SO, WHAT DO I DO?

LIVING BY EXAMPLE
When you thought I wasn't looking...written by a former child.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator, and I immediately wanted to paint another one.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you feed a stray cat, and I learned that it was good to be kind to animals.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you make my favorite cake for me and I learned that the little things can be the special things in life.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I heard you say a prayer, and I knew there is a God I could always talk to and I learned to trust in God.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you make a meal and take it to a friend who was sick, and I learned that we all have to help take care of each other.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you give of your time and money to help people who had nothing and I learned that those who have something should give to those who don't.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you take care of our house and everyone in it and I learned we have to take care of what we are given.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw how you handled your responsibilities, even when you didn't feel good and I learned that I would have to be responsible when I grow up.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw tears come from your eyes and I learned that sometimes things hurt, but it's all right to cry.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw that you cared and I wanted to be everything that I could be.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I learned most of life's lessons that I need to know to be a good and productive person when I grow up.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I looked at you and wanted to say, 'Thanks for all the things I saw when you thought I wasn't looking.'
Well, I just want to start off this post by telling all you women, mothers or not, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! There are so many of you out there that have changed my life. I have learned the things I've needed to learn to be a better mom by all of you out there.
A special "I love you" to my mom. I would not be the person I am without my mom! I love her so much! She sacrificed so much for me and my brothers and sisters. She raised us in a foreign country, not knowing the language or her surroundings, and she did a fantastic job. I know that she would not have been able to do it without the spirit of Jesus Christ in her life. Which brings me to myself, what a perfect example he is to me, showing and teaching me exactly what I need to be doing to raise my, ever so special, children.
I also want to thank my mother in-law, Karen. What a great woman she is. She did such a great job raising her children and I am so thankful for her willingness to do so because I happened to marry one of those children. Jake is such an amazing husband and father and most of that is because of his sweet mom. ( I only say "most" because his dad is pretty great too!)
We had such an awesome sacrament meeting today. I sat by myself ( Jake took our noisy kids out in the hall so I could listen and enjoy the messages for once) and I cryed like a baby throughout the whole meeting. Some friends of ours, Paul and Sara McDowell, talked and they were absolutely amazing! Sara read this poem that I put at the beginning of this post, and how true it is. I sat there listening and thinking to myself, "I wonder if my kids have learned anything from me while I wasn't looking?." It scared me because most likely if they have learned something from me - it probably wasn't good! It's sad I know, but I am thankful this profound poem was shared today. We all know one of the best ways to learn is by example. I hope and pray that I will be a better example to my children. I love them with all my heart. I know without a doubt that my Heavenly Father sent these wonderful kids to me for a specific reason. They are all so different but yet so amazing in their own special way. I am so thankful for the things that they teach me each and every day. I love you Madi, and Dani, and Kash! I love being your mom!

I'm lame...but I LOVE it!!
OK, seriously, I know I am such a lame-o but if any of you know me, I get so stinkin' bored with my hair way too fast. I didn't want to change the color because if I did I'm pretty sure my hair would fall out!! And we don't want that!!! So a few months ago I checked into hair extensions for a birthday present. Well let's just say after the consultation and the $2000 price tag, that option was a BIG FAT NO!! So I was watching HSN ( ya, I know, the fact that I watch qvc and hsn makes me even more lame) and Ken Paves ( Jessica Simpson's hair stylist) came on with line of clip-in hair extensions (only $70) so I bought myself some!! I bought both of these lengths. The first one is 15in in length and the second one is 22in in length. And let me just tell you, I LOVE THESE THINGS!!
(Don't you love her face in this picture? She is such a cheeze ball!!)
(But then again so am I! Maybe that's why I like her and no one else does)
OK, and just to get the whole summer make-over feel, I also bought myself some of these self tan towels. If any of you are like me and convinced you will one day die of skin cancer, these too are fantastic!!
ENJOY!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
First off, I have to tell you all how much I love my husband!!! He was nice enough to let me take a quick little trip to Utah to help his sister, Amber-the one having her 2nd set of twins, pack up her house because in the next month they will be.............wait for it..............MOVING TO AZ!!!!!!! I can't tell you enough how excited I am!!! I got to go for the weekend without my kids so I could really help and actually be productive. (mind you, the night before I left, Kash had a fever of 103! Jake your the best! I LUV YOU!!)
It was in the 90's the day I left so I wore a t-shirt and flip-flops. Then the plane's captain comes on the intercom and gives us the final descent announcement and goes on to relay the weather and all the sudden I hear him say, "It's a chilly 34 degrees out there in Salt Lake City." I am not lying, everybody around me looked at me and laughed! I think I am the only one that was stupid enough not to check the weather report before leaving! Let's just say I froze my little patoshie off waiting those long 10 minutes outside!!!!
We wasted no time. Right when we arrived back at Amber's we dove right in and started working. We packed up all of her kids rooms, the guest room, her closet and the bathroom. She has the cutest little girl, Ellie Faye, so of course she's got drawers and drawers full of bows, flower clips, ribbon, you name it--she's got it. Let's just say, this is what happens when you try to be the "fun aunt"..... (Thanks Cam, I really did love the hair do! Luv you Cam!!!!)

My last day there I bought the kids doughnuts and milk for breakfast. This is where Chase decided to enjoy his breakfast. ..........Oh to be a kid again.....
Then it was off to Cameron and Jackson's soccer game.(Cam is in the white shorts)
After filling their bellies with sugar and milk they all went and played in their soccer games. I was soooo jealous that they got to work off their breakfast and all I did was sit on my butt and let the 3, yes I said 3, doughnuts and the huge glass of milk I had just settle right into my gut!!! Oh well, these kids are well worth it!!!!
This one, kicking the ball is Ellie Faye. She did so good. She scored a whopping 4 goals that game! (but if you ask her it was 6 goals)
Then it was off to Cameron and Jackson's soccer game.(Cam is in the white shorts)
And this would be Jackson sitting on the ground. As you can see, they didn't completely fall in love with playing soccer. I think it's pretty safe to say that this will be there last season on the soccer field.
And then there was Chase's game. He was so excited that I was going to be able to watch his game. He told me that he was going to do his best just for me. Too bad his coach was a loser and decided to sit him out for the 1st and 3rd quarter! (he is one of the best one's on the team so they were trying to let some of the not so good one's have their time to shine) Chase you were awesome out there!!!! Luv you!!!!
Sunday I was home, and able to spend the day with my wonderful family!! Jake's sister was buzzing his hair so Kash had to jump on the band waggon and get himself a buzz too. This kid is so strange. He loves getting his hair cut. He sits so still and puts his head wherever he is told. Look at his expression on his face. He really was soooooo excited for it to finally be his turn in the chair! Thanks, Krystal, for the boys' new do.
